Hi,
I've just been told I have DFSP and that I've got to have another surgery to remove the margins. It threw me completely as I thought it was a cyst and then get told it is a sarcoma and I've got to be urgently referred to the Royal Marsden hospital.
Researching it has helped but also made it seem more scary and I'm just confused.
Hi
Welcome to our community, I hope you find it both informative and supportive.
I am Steve, one of the community champions and my experience of cancer is via my wife who has Leiomyosarcoma. People often meet me via our Soft tissue sarcomas forum where you might like to introduce yourself.
Sarcoma as you have probably noted is a rare type of cancer and as such is dealt with mostly via a few specialist centres and that is why you would have been referred to the Royal Marsden.
There is quite a lot of information of DSFP on the sarcoma uk website.
<<hugs>>
Steve
