Good evening,
Shocked, tearful, feel like life has stopped. High grade serus carcinoma endometrial cancer. Awaiting ct scan. Anyone have some hopeful stories? x
Oh no. At the moment, nothing interesting to add to your worrying news but there’ll be other members with this, for sure. I think the main thing to ask is how old are you? For post menopausal women, this is shocking enough but if you are much younger that’s a whole other story. Anyway, I’m also waiting waiting waiting for some news re the endometrium issue.
Hopefully, someone on here can shed some positive light at the end of the tunnel for you - very best wishes x
Helllo I am 64. No health problems apart from under active thyroid. Polyp removed showing high grade serus carcinoma. Watery discharge. Blood sometimes before removal of polyp. So shocked at the diagnosis. I eat healthily only sometimes drink alcohol and regularly exercise. I don’t know what to think. Thank you for responding.
I know - it’s not fair. I’m 65 and also rarely drink, have an extremely good diet although could probably exercise more!!!! I hope you can get some more positive news about your condition from another member soon - the initial shock of a strong diagnosis is the worst.
my mother (currently aged 96, lives independently and pretty active) has had bowel cancer, secondary liver cancer and then a couple of years’ ago, a small breast cancer. She’s not about to bow out yet, clearly, so…… for some people, it IS possible to survive these things. Like you, she has had hypothyroidism for a long time, she didn’t smoke, rarely drinks alcohol, has a good, varied diet and most importantly, stays physically active.
very very best of luck to you.
Hi Mundesley2 and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community, and although I was diagnosed with different cancer to you I know how scared you're probably feeling right now.
The online community is divided into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join the womb cancer group as you'll then connect directly with others who have been diagnosed with the same type of cancer as you. It's a great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support.
To join, just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
It would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and tests to date into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
Hello Mundersley2 I have just logged on to update my profile and have seen your post-please feel free to click on my username to see my profile. xx
