Hi my mum is in late end of life and is receiving palliative care from district nurses she has chosen to remain at home at what stage would my mum be suitable for hospice care
Hi Eric6194 and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I'm very sorry to read that your mum is at late end of life and it's natural to have questions.
I can see that you've already found and joined the supporting someone with incurable cancer forum and that would be the best place to ask your question.
You can also ring the Macmillan Support Line on 0808 808 0000 if you feel it would be easier to speak to someone. It's free to call and available every day of the week from 8am to 8pm.Hi Eric
My mother in law was the same. She chose to remain at home and had hospice care at home. The nurses were lovely and very gentle with her. She died peacefully at home with one of her daughters holding her hand. It's something to consider.
