Hi
My name is Lee
I've just had my first chemo treatment, my doctor has told me I'm probably not going to be around for long so my wife and I are trying to bring our cruise forward to this side of the year. Tenerife and the islands we were looking forward too.
The big worry is insurance and obviously if I get sepsis at sea how quickly you can to a hospital for some antibiotics, would really appreciate any advice and recommendations.
Cheers Lee
Hi Lee and welcome to the Online Community although I am sorry to see you joining us and to hear about your diagnoses. A cancer diagnosis like this can be such a stressful and challenging time but when it comes to support there is nothing better than talking with others who are on the exact same cancer and treatment journey.
The Community is divided into support groups (discussion rooms) so can I suggest that you consider joining our supportive Living with incurable cancer - incurable patients only as this is a safe place to talk to others who may have a similar diagnosis, treatment experience, to ask questions and get support.
If you'd like to connect in with a group click on the Green (Bold) link(s) I have created above. Once the group page opens click on the black banner that says [click to join] at the bottom, or the [Join] button under "Group tools."
You can then introduce yourself by putting up a ‘new post’ by clicking in the box near the top right with + New or + (Depending on the device you are using) and you are ready to go.
As for Travel Insurance do have a look through the 'recommended travel insurance' thread in our Travel insurance group as it's where the majority of recommendations from other forum members are to be found.
You might also want to look at this thread as it includes a link to a Travel Insurance Directory.
I wish you luck in finding some cover.
