Hi, I’ve been I’ll since December . After a 2 week stay in hospital , the doctors are continuing investigations to see if I have a lymphoma . The doctors have said that is what they think and moving towards LGL Leukemia . I cannot accept this . I’ve been in good health most of my life and this has only occurred albeit not confirmed since I had the booster vaccine in mid November .
This is affecting my relationship as to my wife whom I married in October 21. I cannot stop being emotional and when I am , I start to not show respect to my wife and step daughter . I’m always telling my daughter off for something and because I struggle to talk, it sounds like I am shouting. I also have a bi lateral facial palsy and my voice is affected. I don’t have movement on my right side of the face so can’t show any emotions at all. I have slight movement on the left side .
Tonight we argued because my daughter was eating food with her hands which is something I don’t like . And also because the printer was not working and connecting to our laptops. She wants to sleep in the living room tonight . I can’t go on with life .
Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community which I'm sure you'll find is an informative and supportive place.
Waiting for a diagnosis is a very stressful time but most of us find that once we know what we're dealing with and a treatment plan is in place we feel a lot better.
As the community is divided up into different support groups I'm going to recommend that you join the T-cell lymphoma group which is a great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support from others with this type of blood cancer.
To join just click on the link I've created and then choose 'click to join' or 'join' (depending on the device you're using) on the page that opens. You can then introduce yourself and post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
Once you know what you're dealing with it would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
If you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help
x
