Hi everyone. I have just joined this wonderful forum which must be giving so many people a more peaceful way of dealing with their situation. There are so many questions, doubts and fears and to be able to talk to people who share similar cicumstances - is of great help. I have had a very successful breast operation and am now waiting for a consultation regarding the other end of my body - I don't do things by half lol. Wishing you all the very best xx

  • Hi  and welcome to the Online Community but sorry to see you joining us.

A cancer diagnosis can be very challenging but talking with others who are walking the same type of cancer treatment journey will help you navigate this difficult time.

The New to Community is like the Community Reception area and as there are many cancer types and experiences so likewise the Community has many support groups but I see that you have joined and posted in our supportive Breast cancer group as this will be a good place for you to connect with other folks who may be on the same cancer treatment pathway.

It’s always good to talk so do call the Macmillan Support Services on 0808 808 00 00 - most services are open 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week Clicking here to see what is available. This service provides lots of cancer information, support, financial guidance or just a listening ear.

To find information covering diagnosis, treatments and pages covering most types of cancers check our Online Information and Support Section

    All the very best ((hugs))

Hi Mike. Thank you very much for your kind words. Whatever comes - I do not intend to let it get me down. And if I can help and also cheer up a few people on here on the way - that will be a bonus. All the very best to you x

  • I have been on my Lymphoma journey for over 22 years now and against all odds I am still around doing great.

Many of the group members have put up a back story in their profile (hit their community names) as this helps folk to understand their journey and is often a support to those who look in but don’t post.

Hit the link at the bottom of my post to see how you can do your own profile ((hugs))
