My husband has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, it has all happened so quickly. A month ago he was working and now he is on oxygen 24/7 and started chemo on tuesday.

It all seems so scary and happening so quick.

  • Hi  and welcome to the online community

I know how scary having a cancer diagnosis is but you've come to the right place for support.

I can see that you've already found and joined the lung cancer group which is a great place to ask questions and share experiences with others who have this type of cancer. Clicking on the link I've created will take you straight there when you feel ready to post.

Could I recommend that you also think about joining the carers only group which is a safe and supportive place to share your worries and discuss your emotions with others who are caring for someone living with cancer.

If you'd like to do this just click on the link I've created and then choose 'click to join' or 'join' (depending on the device you're using) on the page that opens. You can then introduce yourself and post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

When you feel up to it it would be great if you could tell us about your husband's diagnosis and treatment in your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

If you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help.
