been lurking a while! I have kidne and lung cancer, both primary. Immunothetapy helped the kidney a bit but didnt touch the lung and was stopped as kidney function suffered. Then had chemo for lung which again stopped due to poor kidney function. Feeling lost and as all hapenned in lockdown alone too sohere I am. Treatable but not curable so now treatment stopped I feel in a wierd limbo.
Hi@ine Ms welcome to the forum.
I can see why you've joined both the lung n kidney groups!
What a thing to have both!
You might want to join the living with incurable cancer,as this would cover both and might mean you could get more support
I'm also tagging in @chellesimo
as she's the champion for lung cancer in case she's got anything to add.
Hi Divine MS M, it sounds like you have had a rotten time. I am so sorry to hear that treatment has been stopped because of kidney function.
Having cancer is such a lonely journey at times, and having had your treatment during the covid lockdowns must of been horrid for you.
Being part of the Macmillan community you do not have to be alone. As buttercup has mentioned, you may want to join the Living with incurable cancer forum - patients only
I am also a member of that group as my cancer is also incurable. It is a very supportive group, with many people with all different types of incurable cancer. If you come over to say hello, I will be sure to give you a warm welcome.
Take care
Thank you for taking the time to reply. I’ve tried to join the incurable group but don’t seem able to. Any ideas.
Thanks so much Chelle. As I just posted to buttercup, I seem unable to join that group?
I've asked admin #chellrsimo
Hi Divine I can see on your profile that you are a member of the incurable group now x
