Secondary tumours found in lungs and liver on 25th May. Been complaining of breathlessness to GP since February. Primary cancer not yet found, being passed from pillar to post with tests and scans with no useful information yielded
Unfortunately that also means that at the moment, nobody wants me on their team and I don't know who to approach for help.
I had a bit of a rant at the lung specialist nurse who said " but we know you don't have lung cancer" so I hit back with " but I do have symptoms "
She arranged for my GP to write a prescription for morphine but that sounds hideously terminal and end stage
My mother died 14 years ago with lung cancer. She had no treatment at all except draining fluid from her lungs and morphine patches. She died precisely 8 weeks after diagnosis. I am starting week 4
Hi welcome to the Online Community although so see you have posted before but sorry to hear about your ongoing diagnosis challenges. It sounds like you are having a hard time navigating to a clear understanding what is going on.
You may find talking with others who are walking the same type of cancer journey will help you navigate this difficult time so can I recommend you join our supportive Unknown primary cancer, Lung, secondary cancer and Liver, secondary cancer groups as this will be a good place to connect with patients and family on the same cancer pathway.
