Hi and welcome to the Online Community but sorry that you had to find us and especially sorry to hear about your diagnosis.
A cancer diagnosis like this can be very challenging and worrying, I had a totally different type of cancer but you may find talking with others who are walking the same type of cancer journey will help you navigate this difficult time so can I recommend you join our supportive Bowel (colon and rectum) cancer group as this will be a good place to connect with patients and family on the same cancer treatment pathway.
To join a group just click on the link above then choose 'click to join' or 'join' (depending on the device you're using) on the page that opens.
You can then introduce yourself by putting up a ‘New Thread’ or hit the box with the X on the top right (phones), you could just copy and paste the text from this your first post. You can also join in with existing ‘Discussions’ by clicking on 'reply'.
It’s always good to talk so do call the Macmillan Support Services on 0808 808 00 00 - most services are open 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week Clicking here to see what is available.
This service provides lots of cancer information, support, financial guidance or just a listening ear.
We also have Cancer Nurse Team in our Ask an Expert section, but do allow two working days for replies from our expert team.
To find information covering diagnosis, treatments and pages covering most types of cancers check our Online Information and Support Section.
All the very best ((hugs))

Hi again , it’s amazing that we would can go to the enth degree to fix a car or a phone but don’t for the very bodies we have to live in and keep in as good a condition we can.
We can’t control the physical side of the cancer journey, that is where we put our trust in the medical professionals..... but the battle between the ears is our main calling.... control this and you will control the stress and anxiety that if allowed can makes us even more ill.... and that is not taking the actual cancer into account.
Until I faced the fact that I had to use the big gun treatments that, I had only ever heard bad first hand reports about, that I was able to see through the brain mist and understand what was the best way forward.
Back in 1999 I was told “Mike, I am sorry to tell you that this type of Lymphoma is incurable, yes treatable but you will never be in remission”...... so 14 years I had 900+ Dermatology treatments/clinics then my condition became very aggressive so between Sep 2013 and Oct 2015 I had 6 cycles of R-EPOCH (750hrs), 45 radiotherapy zaps and two Allo (donor) Stem Cell Transplants (June 2014 and October 2015) and was eventually told I was in remission in September 2016 for the first time in 17 years...... and living the dream........ and so can you.
All the very best.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
