Hello all.

I had my right testicle removed about 3 weeks ago because a tumor was found in it. I'm healing from surgery well and the pain is going away fast.
It was sent for a biopsy and instead of the "normal" germ cells they found signs of Lymphoma instead. I'm 30 and they said it was rare for someone young to get something like this.

I have a scheduled appointment to see the hematology department to get more tests done and see what type of lymphoma I have.

Won't lie I'm still scared and worried about what's gonna happen next.

  • Hi  and welcome to the Macmillan Online Community although sorry that you had to find us and especially sorry to hear about your Lymphoma diagnosis.

I am Mike Thehighlander and I help out around our blood cancer groups. I was diagnosed back in 1999 with a rare skin Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma so have been on this journey rather a long time.

The word cancer brings a lot of what if’s? But unlike solid tumour cancers like Lung, Kidney..... Lymphoma is very treatable which great results.

It will take a little time to get a clear diagnosis but once you have your appointment with Heamatology you will be more up to speed.

There are over 60 types and subtypes of Lymphoma so we can’t have a group for every type but these are our main Lymphoma groups below:

    Hodgkin's Lymphoma

    General Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma

    Follicular Lymphoma

    Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma

    Mantel Cell Lymphoma

    T-Cell Lymphoma

Once you find out the exact type gave a look at the names then join the best group for your type by clicking on the link then choose 'click to join' or 'join' (depending on the device you're using) on the page that opens.

You can then introduce yourself by putting up a ‘New Thread’ or hit the box with the X on the top right (phones). You can also join in with existing ‘Discussions’ by clicking on 'reply'.

But do use this thread if you want to talk more about the next steps.
