I have been breathless since February and finally got a GP to see me at the end of April. He ordered a chest x-ray (May 6) and an appointment for a CT scan was texted 3 days later. 4 days after that I had a consultant appointment - chest
Letter said on 2 places in bold " please come alone" so I did and was greeted with " oh you're by yourself, you do realise this is an oncology appointment"
I have metastases in both lungs and in my liver and something weird on the right kidney.
I am totally bewildered. This morning I got a phone call for a colorectal consultant this afternoon who didn't find anything
Is this not knowing phase the worst?
Hi @bboo1823 and welcome to the community though sorry to hear about what you have been going through.
The great unknown is indeed very challenging and some of the communication from hospitals can be challenging. When my wife was diagnosed we were told Leiomyosarcoma and it was only when I looked that up I even found that that meant cancer.
Hopefully things will become a bit clearer in the future.
<<hugs>>
Steve
