Hi, I'm newly diagnosed with cancer. Which  on its own is scary as hell as I'm sure you all are well aware

But I'm also a transman who hasn't had all surgery done yet and the form of cancer is a female ( cervical) but I don't live as a female and I'm on testosterone

And I'm just very confused scared and haven't told my family

  • Hi  and warm welcome to the Macmillan Online Community but sorry that you had to find us and especially sorry to hear about your diagnosis.

A cancer diagnosis can be challenging in so many ways but talking with others who are walking the same type of cancer journey can help you navigate this difficult time.

We do have a Cervical cancer support group. Hit the above link and have a look at the group.

If you want to join the group just click on the link above then choose 'click to join' or 'join' (depending on the device you're using) on the page that opens.

You can then consider introducing yourself by putting up a ‘New Thread’ or hit the box with the X on the top right (phones). You can also join in with existing ‘Discussions’ by clicking on 'reply'.

We also have our supportive LGBTIQ+ forum so again have a look and see it it’s a place you can connect into  and if so put up a post and introduce yourself.

It’s always good to talk so do call the Macmillan Support Services on 0808 808 00 00 - most services are open 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week Clicking here to see what is available. This service can give lots of cancer information, support, financial guidance or just a listening ear. We also have Cancer Nurse Team in our Ask an Expert section, but do allow two working days for replies from our expert team.

To find information covering diagnosis, treatments and pages covering most types of cancers can be found on our Online Information and Support Section

    All the very best
