Hi
I had a biopsy on a lump in my right breast and this afternoon I will have an appointment to get the results. Originally I had been told that I would get the results by phone, but this morning they called and said I should come in and that my husband should come to. Not very subtle ... We are now assuming that we are going to be given bad news. I am wondering what level of information I can expect from a biopsy report? Assuming that it is bad news - will they be able to tell me what grade it is and whether it has spread or if it is contained? Can they tell that from a biopsy? I'd just like to know what I can expect from the appointment.
Thanks for any info or advice.
Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community
The online community is divided up into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join the breast cancer group and post your question there. This isn't because I think you're going to be told that you have breast cancer but because there you'll connect with others who have had a biopsy and will be able to tell you what sort of information they were given.
To join just click on the link I've created and then choose 'click to join' or 'join' (depending on the device you're using) on the page that opens. You can then introduce yourself and post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
If you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help.
