I am new to this website but thought it would be advisable to join.

I am 51 years old and on Thursday after a colonoscopy I was told that I have a malignant tumour in my rectum.  On 27th May I will be having a CT Scan and an MRI Scan to see if it has spread.

I am terrified especially because I have a 9 year old son.

My symptoms seemed to come on suddenly with blood in stools, abdominal bloating and more urgency to go and more frequent too.

I would love to hear from people who have been diagnosed with this cancer.
