Hi everyone, I'm new here but really helping someone might be able to help me out.
I've had a right side full mastectomy, in Feb 2019. I've now started thinking about reconstruction and have been seeing my consultant on and off for a long time, trying to make a decision about reconstruction.
I'm looking for someone who has had an LD flap reconstruction on one side (with an implant as well, if possible) AND an implant reconstruction on the other side. I'm looking to have my other breast removed as a risk reduction measure, so would be looking to have these ops done..... ideally together, However, I'm looking for experiences from people who have had both sides done together, so I can get an idea in terms of recovery.. I know it'll be horrendous either way, but I suppose I just want some advice really from someone who has had it done.
Any advice would be hugely appreciated. Thank you so much!
