Hi All
My husband collapsed in Dec with metastasic spinal cord compression after being treated for 12 years for prostate cancer.
he can’t walk now and I am his main and only carer. We thankfully have a large house and he has settled into our rear living room and I am currently organising a downstairs wet room building which should be finished in a couple of weeks. We have installed a ramp in our front drive area and are getting on ok. Unfortunately his oncologist has told us that people with his conditions live on average about 12months. This kind of puts a bit of a damper on things. To put it mildly. However we are trying to enjoy what’s left as much as possible. Sadly involves eating lots of nice things which means we have both put on weight! Not so good. C’est la vie. We’ve had a good life and been able to travel all over the world.
