Hi all, I found my lump on Mother’s Day, went to gp next day then had my referral to breast care unit, had my appointment on Wednesday 24/3, mammogram and biopsies under ultrasound taken, From lump in breast and thickened node in arm pit,  due back on Tuesday next week for results and plan.  It’s all so surreal. I’m 51, and a nurse so maybe knowing too much is what’s making things worse.  My main fear now is that it’s spread, due to the thickening found on ultrasound of a lymph node. I can’t help thinking that... I know nobody can tell me what will happen, but just needed to say hi, to those dealing with same issues, I have no concerns about treatment, I’ll do everything that needs to be done,, just scared of the actual results, the anxiety is horrendous, and I hate this waiting.
