Am in shock! Had a full hysterectomy because of pre-cancerous cells. Surgeon asked me to see him yesterday when he said results had come back and I did have cancer. I have been advised to have radiotherapy as a back up and to try and stop it coming back. Anyone else been in this position? I had breast cancer 20 years ago and never looked back so it is a bit of a double whammy but I’m determined to get through it again. I’m confused as the surgeon says i don’t have cancer now as they have got rid of it but why am I having radiotherapy? Was too upset to take it it yesterday. Feeling ok this morning though!
