Hiya,

My dad was diagnosed with Terminal Cancer just after christmas. We had no signs other than he was loosing weight until it was too late. The cancer started in his lung and now its in his brain, lymph nodes, adrenal gland and liver.

He is only 56, I’m 30 and suddenly becoming a carer why im looking after my 2 and 6 year old is soo hard!

Anyway, yesterday we had a visit with the dr and they are stopping the chemotherapy due to Dads health deteriorating. It was the worst moment of my life being in that room why the Dr asked Dad where he would like to die and we filled out his wishes and respect form.

We are now at the almost “waiting point” with district nurse coming in once a week to start with because hes still up and about and looking after himself. He chose to die at home so I guess when things get worse they will up the care and equipment needed for that.

I haven’t had any support, don’t know where to even look for it to be honest. I feel very alone at the monent, I feel overwhelmed, I feel like no one understands which is what led me to this page.

Anyway thats me!

Love to you all Sarah x
