Hi one and all,
I recently found a thickening in my left breast and have just seen a doctor. She has referred me to the breast clinic and I’m now feeling a bit anxious and emotional. I don’t want to tell anyone, except my partner, until I have a diagnosis, I just don’t want to worry them unnecessarily. So I just wanted to talk to people who understand and have been through this. Reading some of the stories has made me realise just how many ladies are currently feeling like me and my heart goes out to you.
Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community
It's natural to feel anxious and emotional when you're waiting for tests but you've come to the right place to talk to others who have been where you are now.
I can see that you've already found and joined the breast cancer group which is a great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support.
When you have a minute it would be great if you could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
If you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help.
