Good morning guys,

I received my diagnosis yesterday of cervical cancer, adenocarcinoma stage 2B Weary

Consultant said I won't be able to have surgery so will be having chemoradiation and possibly brachytherapy.

My nurse is hopefully going to ring me today with an appointment to meet my oncologist next week.

Be interested to talk to any ladies fighting this same battle. I'm feeling quite calm now I know my staging etc although it all feels a little unreal right now.

Sending love and strength to everyone else fighting cancer Heart

    Hi,

I have stage 3 cervical cancer, I was diagnosed in November and started treatment in January. I had 5 sessions of Chemotherapy every Monday and radiotherapy everyday for 28 sessions then 3 Brachytherapy.  I got through most with little side effects,  stay strong and positive.

I have now finished treatment and awaiting a 3 month scan to find out the results.

    Hi Jwg,

Thank you so much for your response.

So happy to hear that you have got through it all.  It's all a little bit daunting leading up to the start of the treatment as obviously I don't know what to expect.

I have my first meeting with the oncologist on Tuesday then all systems go.  Just want to get started now and get this thing kicked in the butt!

Lots of luck for your 3 month scan x
