Good morning

i am new to the community and finding life very surreal and strange at the moment. My husband was recently diagnosed with duodenal cancer which secondary in his liver. He has gone from a strapping 6ft strong guy able to make fast thinking decisions, run our business, work hard on renovating our home etc to someone that is it unable to now do a lot of those things and he’s struggling with it all.
It’s heartbreaking and I feel so helpless.

  • Hi  and welcome to the online community although I'm sorry you've had to find us.

I can see that you've already found and joined the carers only group where you'll get lots of support from others who understand how hard it can be looking after someone with cancer. When you're ready to post there clicking on the link I've created will take you straight back.

If you need to amend your post at any time just click on the 'more' button underneath your post and then click 'edit'. You can then make any alterations before clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could pop something about your husband's journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

If you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help.
