I, ve just joined, not sure why or what am looking for on here but I feel lost the past few months have passed in a haze. I went to the dentist thinking I had an abcess in my mouth but it turned out to be cancer and next week I go into hospital for surgery to remove it and reconstruct my face.
Hi , welcome to the online community, I’m sorry to hear about your diagnosis and surgery next week. I have a different cancer but felt a bit like things were going in slow motion when I was diagnosed. I found it helpful to join the community, it made my diagnosis seem more normal, and feel like something I could cope with when you can read what others have been through and ask someone to give you the heads up (no pun intended) of what happened to them.
I looked and you’ve already done your profile which is great, I do hope you will also join the head and neck cancer group to find people who have been or are going through a similar situation, I will put a link for you to click on below.

I also found the Macmillan information and support pages really useful as well.
Best wishes
thanks KAatHome for the reply, I will get through this but it, s good to have others to talk to about it xx
