Hi, im new!
My dad passed away in January from glioblastoma. He was diagnosed in September last year and went down hill very rapidly.
He was actually working in a hospital when he had his first seizure, he was a blood bank manager doing some locom work and collapsed in the lab taking a chunk out of his skull on some equipment on the way down. My mums retired nurse so ive grown up around a lot of medical speak. Nothing prepared us for dads fast and heartbreaking end. Just looking for somewhere to go to talk, weird world we are living in now and i dont know where to put allmy grief.
Hi and a warm welcome to the Community, although I'm sorry to hear about your dad. Such a rapid decline didn't give you time to adjust to his illness. I can see you've joined the Bereaved Family and Friends group and that's definitely the right place to be. I'm sure you will have lots of support from the lovely people in that group.
Hugs,
LoobyLou
