Good morning all.
Been a couple of months.
Poked,prodded,diagnosed.
Had oncology yesterday.
About a year to go without treatment.
About 2-3 with.
Feel absolutely shattered.
Expected it, but was hoping for a better deal.
2 week cycles of drips and pumps until I cant take it any more or it stops working.
Then try something else.
Until that stops working.
When treatment runs out, so do I.
Feel like dancing round a fire at midnight with no drawers on.
That'll show em.
Make it rain!
Won't see my pension.
Won't see Bon Jovi.
Do I stay alive for my folks?
Do I just let it happen?
Buggrit.
Bouncing back.
Gonna look at stuff.
Gonna do what I can do.
"Gonna live while I'm alive."

Oh so sorry to hear about your grandchild, glad surgery went as planned. I pray the brain scan is ok and you'll have get her home soon.
So your still running between Wales Scotland and all over the place. I'll worry when you become a home bird. Lol. How many grandkids now. We've still got 5, I've told them no babies yet I'm to young to be a great granny ha ha . Take care luv xx
Moi
Thanks Moi, we're very hopeful Evie will be home soon, she was somewhat drowsy after her fall, and luckily mum's a nurse, so applied an ice pack to the injury while waiting for the ambulance.
Hey Moi, are you stalking me, we've been to Wales and Scotland a few times, and of course Essex for Ellie's service, next trip is the Scilly's in June
, with the wife and family, yes, we finally got married.
Still on 12 grandkids but a brother who passed away, would've been celebrating becoming a great granddad 4 months ago, I am her godparent, but prefer honorary great grandad, hey Moi, you'd love, and be a wonderful great granma
, please pass on our best wishes to your family, and of course to you.
love Eddie, Sheila, and family xx
Oh my goodness Eddie I am so sorry to hear about little Evie. That must be terrifying for everyone. I pray the scan goes well in the morning and she is home soon xx
Hi Whisperer
welcome to the group, it looks like you have had lots of support and encouragement from our fellow members already, so I am glad you have found us here. I am sure you will get to see Bon Jovi, and have lots of cuddles with your family from Canada.
Thank you Chelle, Evie's a tough little cookie, all her stats are very good and her Op went well, so everyone is hopeful for a full recovery, and hope she's her usual bright, funny, bossy self when she's brought round tomorrow, but we know she'll be in hospital for a few more days.
Eddie xx
Hi Moi, so happy to see your name again and pleased to read about your scans.
I was thinking my long fight was coming to an end when I got the worst blood results ever about 6 weeks ago. I've crept back up a little but still concerned. I'm carrying on as normal with everything including my gardening even though I've spinal stenosis and it's painful. Happily, Mrs Tvman has had a couple of clear scans but she has a little bowel trouble still. She's also had a hip replacement and she's doing quite well after being on crutches for a year
I'm currently working as much as possible in the garden and veg plot. Today I've been sowing a 25 mtr pea row as well as planting out young leeks into their final position. I've potatoes well on their way to being ready, maybe another month. I've also carrots, parsnips, cabbages, broad beans, sprouts, and a few types of lettuce all on the way for picking and digging up in a couple of months time.
I've put some photos on the gardens and gardening forum so you can have a dekko at them if you want.
We've been over to Glasgow to see little Violet and she's beautiful but I'm biased of course! We've also been over to Peterborough to see the grandchildren, daughter and sil, in fact we're just back last Tuesday morning on the overnight Birkenhead to Belfast sailing. Every time I am in that area I think fondly of you and pleased that things are going well with you.
Take care Moi
