I asked my oncologist on Wednesday about this, not down to her, the GP does it.
Just phoned GP, they do not do it, down to the district nurses, or the Hospice staff. i do not have either, thank goodness..
Wish i had never asked, Thats my rant,
When my BCN told me in March 23 that I had 6-12 months to live, they got in touch with a Hospice who got me to fill out a form with my wishes on it it, they called it a respect form and basically mentions DNR etc they were honest with me and said that due to the state of the lungs they wouldn't rescuitate me anyway , I've had to tell the doctors and hospital about the respect form and carry it around .
Hi Eddie,
Yes they told me I needed to caŕy it or have it on me at all times and the amount of ambulance drivers that have asked for it as been unbelievable it's the first thing they ask for same as the doctors at the hospital and hospices and even my own GP
Thank you.
She did say, to think about it, and make sure this is what i want, and explained, it is really for emergency condition, as such and every other illness, is still catered for like cancer and so on.
I then phoned McMillian,. and they did confirm it, though thought i would ask you.
