I have just joined this support group today and still finding my way around. I had breast cancer in 2014, which had not spread, in June this year my femur just snapped and after a CT scan and MRi, I have been diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, it has spread to my bones, lung and liver.
I have been taking Ibrance and Letrozole since end of June, had another Ct and MRI last month and the results have come back that 3 tumors have shrunk. My white blood cells were low but said that's normal as I was on my 7 days off cycle. In January I will be having Injections to make my
Bones stronger, I work 30 hrs in a supermarket but obviously am off sick, my wages stop this month, so am debating to go back in December at reduced hours. I think I need to mentally to keep my brain going. I am 68, and get my state pension, my 32 daughter and 2 grandsons, 3 and 1 live with me.
Sorry to have gone on and on but need some advice or if anyone else is in the same situation.
Thank you for your kind words, you take care too xx
Hi Buttonse2d999 , welcome to the group that you never thought you'd be joining. I'm sorry to read about your cancer journey but here you'll find a lot of people in the same boat who know exactly what you're going through with your worries and fears.
You'll enjoy the benefits of love, care and friendship from people who want to support you especially when you're feeling low or anxious about a new treatment or you need a reassuring arm around your shoulders. I've not long returned to the group after taking a break when my wife was diagnosed with stage 3 rectal cancer and I needed to spend a lot more time with her and I can testify to the warmth I received from some very loving, caring people on my return.
Hope to be speaking with you from now on.

Hi Tvman, thank you so much for your lovely welcome, I feel more positive since joining this community. Everyone seems very caring and loving, xx
Hi Buttons, I had breast cancer in 2013 and had surgery, chemo and radiotherapy. Found out last year had secondary breast cancer in pelvis, hips, ribs, spine and skull. I am having treatment and now my cancer is stable. Glad you found this forum it is definitely great and so much support from everybody. If you enjoy your job and can go back why not. If you decide not to can you apply for attendance allowance? Anyway welcome.
Lee 2 x.
