I appear to have had this condition for a while. Eventually December 2019 I was admitted with alleged pancreatitis, was scanned treated & discharged. This condition led to pneumonia & I slipped into respiratory failure.
I was admitted again with pancreatitis only to find out in Nov 2020 I had stage 3 net of pancreas / liver.
I started etoposide & the other drug I can't remember...chemo brain! My final round of 6 ended June & I was scanned Monday.
I have been told other than scanning me moving forward & offering chemo is my only option. My cancer doesn't produce any hormones.
Hi
Sorry no one has replied ( although I realise you didnt ask a question). Just hoping you are coping with scanxiety while you wait for results. It is very wearing waiting for results. Hope you have a good support network and of course the cancer specific group you belong to will hopefully be supportive. This group of incurables is also very supportive if you need a friendly response to a question or simply to vent,
Hey, Southern Bell
Sorry for the slow response. I rarely visit the forum so only just seen your post.
How are you feeling at the moment? Have you heard of the Maggie's Centres? They're a great place to visit to meet other people, get support etc. Going there helped me a lot, but it depends where you are. I think there are 21 in the UK.
Take care
