Well, all through my 2 weeks of radiation I had pain in side, which the team said could be constipation or muscular. After last week oncologist appointment where they wanted to discuss chemo but couldn't because I was in so much pain and distress, I had a CT scan on Thursday.
My mobility is worse than ever and even my sister cried when she helped bathe me on Saturday. I knew it was not constipation and thought my team were probably right and it was muscular.
Today I found out the scan results. I now have cancer in my ribs. Tomorrow I am having an MRI to see if it is in my spine. I am being admitted to hospital next week to start emergency chemo.
I'm so tired, and trying to keep positive, and I know they would not be offering treatment if they didn't think it could help, but boy is it hard. How do people remain positive?
I'm sad because my neck tumour is shrinking and if it wasn't for my pain in side I could cope so much better. I just want a break...even a small one would give me a lift.
Oh gosh Spanglesx
You definitely sound like you are due a break. That sounds so painful. I hope the treatment does reduce your pain and I hope it’s not in your spine. Just so rotten for you. I hope you can get some relief.

I have metastatic Triple Negative Breast Cancer, in remission
Thank you Coddfish. It is painful, my meds don't touch it. Moving is painful and I have now taken to sleeping upright in a chair because if I lie down it is unbearable when I try to get up. It does look like me and my cat Bert are going to stay at my sister's house. She has been great. I hope you are doing well x
Hi Spanglesx. I am so sorry that you are in so much pain. I had breast cancer in 2013. Now have secondary with mets in pelvis, hips, rib and spine and skull. I take tramadol for the pain. I had radiotherapy on my spine for the pain and it did help. At first it was worse but it did get better. I hope that your pain subsides to become manageable. So glad that you have your sister and of course Bert to support you.
Lee x
Hi Lee, thank you for your message and I am sorry that you have experienced this also. I had a bit of good news yesterday following an MRI it hasn't gone to my spine. I did have to have a 4 hour iv as I have high calcium which is not good apparently. My first chemo is booked for next Thursday as an in patient. I have to ring in morning to confirm they have bed. Pain, fatigue and the fact that everything tastes foul even water is dragging me down a bit. I am adding water via peg so I stay hydrated. I would love to find one food item that tastes nice lol x
Good news that it’s not in your spine Spanglesx i hope that’s the start of more positive breaks for you.
