As the title sugests I have been watching this community for a long time, in and out depending on my situation.
I was on a remission for 1 year nearly from Ovarian cancer. I had surgery last june to remove the cancer from my abdo, liver and diaphram. Been good since a month or so where ive been fatigued and in pain on and off. New CT scan shows it has returned with a vengence. In abdo, peritnieum, lymph nodes, liver lung and some bone in my back. I am 34 with 3 young kids. I feel like im going through a stroke, all numb with no real reponse to whats going around me. My consultant will be looking to trial treatment as the regular chemo hasnt worked. My doctor did not say the stage but it should be stage 4 right with iy spreading everywhere? It was what they said before my last surgery.
Im not really asking for anything but maybe an understanding of what im going through.
Thanks
Thank you, my friend, and my best wishes to you in your consultant finding you a trial, The Royal Marsden and Cancer Research UK, have lots of information on trials, which I've found helpful, maybe worth a look, take care.

Hi BengaliMum32
A warm welcome to our gathering. I am a recent addition to this and jumped straight into this gathering since March/April.
If it wasn't for here I would be in a very dark place. They have some the light and reminded me it's ok to carry on. Do what you can when can and what's important. In my case, stop and smell the roses and dig out the hobbies/crafts I used to do.
This is one of the safest places you can share however much of yourself you want and no one will judge, just support in anyway we can.
So a very warm welcome.
Sending you lots of hugs

Totally, I have cried many times at Maggie’s but always come home feeling better (I think their chocolate biscuits help too !)
I’ m doing an 8 week mindfulness course there at the moment. The therapist who runs it works solely with oncology patients, she’s brilliant and has taught me so much about managing intrusive thoughts and finding joy in simple things
I remember you! That's a toughie, I feel for you. I hope there's a suitable trial out there for you.
Hi BengaliMum32, apologies for not replying sooner, I've so much going on at the moment. My wife was diagnosed with cancer just over 2 years ago and I have just returned from a 2 year break. There are very friendly people here, always willing to reach out to give a kind, reassuring word and a huge hug. I wouldn't have come back if it wasn't a happy place to meet people who care.
I'm so sorry to meet you here, I'd rather have met you elsewhere but here we are and we're going to make the most of life.
Speak soon, Tvman x
Hi
I am so sorry you are having a horrible recurrence. Really hope they can find a suitable trial for you.
It must be so tough for you , being so young and have 3 kids too. Be kind to yourself and give yourself the time and grace needed to accept the situation.
