Hi all.
5 minutes into my chemo today I had a bad reaction resulting in instantly being surrounded half a dozen chemo nurses treatment stopped and an adrenaline jab to the leg. Once again I can not say enough how wonderful these people are.
Anyway I have been reschedule for chemo next Tuesday afternoon. My nurse as reassured me that it is very very unlikely to happen again and will be taking 3 times the amount of pre-meds.Im more than happy to go head however got to admit I may be a little bit scared So just wondering if this as happened to anyone else on here and how they got on with any further treatment.
Thanks for reading

No need to apologise. You have told your story and hopefully at the time of writing it as help you alone this journey.
To me your positive attitude was what shined through, I myself am trying to keep my positive attitude and have already learned I need to live with and enjoy what life I have left. Just the fact your first mention is 15 years ago gives me hope. Honestly it as being a help for me to have the privilege of reading it.
Hope you’re husband’s chemo goes well and you enjoy your cappuccino, I will be having one too always grab a Costa when I’m at the hospital.
Thank you once again
Thanks everyone for the reply’s.
I tried again this afternoon but unfortunately I had another reaction.
So it’s good bye Docexel and on to something else as yet unknown as my oncologist is in annual leave until next week. Hopefully a decision will be made before the 19th or I’ll lose my chair and face a wait for another to become available.
Hi Ian Thanks for your kind words. To be honest,, no one expected me still to be here, even my Oncologist who tells me she has never had such a bulky Patients Folder!! lol! If I can defy the odds, anyone can and Cancer Research UK are coming up with new and better treatments every month, so that’s good news for everyone
Thanks my husband had his 6th and hopefully his last Targeted Chemo yesterday. Next thing is Cardiologist next Tuesday, then in 6 weeks a scan etc to find out IT HAS WORKED!! That’s what you call a PMA positive mental attitude! Good luck, keep in touch!
Love Annette x
Eddieeddiel Hopefully I will know what I’m going onto next week but until my oncologist gets back I don’t know.
On a good note I’ve got the first PSA results back after starting my treatment and it dropped from 378 to 15 still high but I’m delighted with that
