Hi everyone,
Here's the new thread for October.
Good morning. Yes Chelle it was the denosumab, I got a letter from the oncology ward when I went to say it was changing. It was denosumab XGEVA it is now densosumab Jubereq. The one you are going on Zadenvi is also a variant. I looked on the NICE website and apparently these are different solutions that they mix in the syringe. The original densomab XGEVA is £308 and our changes like Jubereq and Zadenvi are roughly about £110 so you can see why they have changed us, its all about cost. I am going today for bloods and then Monday for the jab so will see what happens this time. I get the newsletter from Macmillan and you can book a free lunch on 4 December at your local Chef and Brewer. We have a very nice one close to our village and I have booked this for two people.

I suspected it was due to cost, but I do worry about side effects of a new drug.
Last year it was a breakfast that was offered by the chef and brewer. Myself and hubby went, and we met some lovely people. I have booked in for lunch again this year, I wonder if we shall see some familiar faces from last year. X
Had my consultation, it is cancer and caused a fracture not just pulled muscle. But it is treatable with radiation SBRT and no chemo. So not the best news but not the worst either. Good for going on holiday next week x
Hi Stella2020
Good bad news? Well at least you now know - and you can get fixed - and you can go on holiday!! Have a lovely time.
Stay positive, be strong

Sorry to hear that Stella, but does sound like it will be easily treated. Have a lovely holiday. X
Sorry to hear that Stella. I hope SBRT tackles it.

I am a Macmillan volunteer.
I have metastatic Triple Negative Breast Cancer, in remission
Thank you everyone. I am a bit low as was hoping can get away from treatment for a little while. Have to remind myself that I probably would be in deep trouble if not had my big operation in January. I am still pretty mobile and able to go on holiday. I am in better position than last year.
Just need to trust the doctors and hope for the best outcome.
Good evening everyone x
Good morning everyone. Stella hope you have a lovely holiday this week.

Hi
Not sure how to raise this IT issue. I log onto the MacMillan website with my Facebook account. But I have not able to do that for the past few days. The link between MacMillan and Facebook is down. I am using my mobile phone right now as I have not needed to re login in.
