Hi Angie, it's good your daughter can come and stay with you and make sure you stay out of mischief. I hope you are back fighting fit very soon. The weather is probably already on the cold side up there so I hope you have organised plenty of books for those cold evenings!

Hi Stella, out of the blue,  Mrs Patrick asked me how you were and whether you were still buying wigs all the time. I said I had no idea. We must have had that conversation over a year ago and she never forgot. When is your next holiday? I'm off soon and quite looking forward to South East Asia but wish it was not so far away

I have not been buying any new wigs recently as I have stopped chemo so got my own hair growing. However, I am going to wear my wigs in the winter season as they are better looking and keep my head warm too. 

Craig and I are going on a cruise in October. Good for you to fly out to South East Asia. I found long flight is quite tiresome. I was discussing a trip with my mum to Japan next year but she feels she is too old for that. We are going to Italy instead lol.

Morning.  Well we got back from Portugal on Saturday.  It was beautiful and the beaches are gorgeous, highly recommend it.  Because of all the mets in my spine, I can't do long haul flights so looking for holidays around two and a half hours on plane.  How is everyone getting on?  When are you going to Thailand Patrick?  Where are you going on your cruise Stella.  Have a good day everyone.

Glad you had a marvellous time in Portugal. I find 4 hours or less flying time for me nowadays. We are going to Istanbul first then cruise from there to Greece, croatia, Italy, France and end in Barcelona. We are then going to Madrid on the train and flight back to London. A long trip so hopefully no medical dramas.

I have been trying to develop new hobbies. I have bought a book on botanical drawing and many many coloured pencils. Did you still do painting by numbers?

Continue on flowers theme, could not resist the new flower bouquet offer from the florist as it has Dahlia and hydrangea .

What a lovely idea to start drawing - something I am just starting to do again as well ( as an Architect I did a lot of drawing for a living!).

Perhaps start with one or two of those lovely blooms rather than the whole lot!

Start small and practice practice practice!!

I am a complete beginner. I think those flowers are way too advanced for me. Maybe in a year or two! Still at chapter one - light source and 3 dimensional form. A lime is as far as I got so far.

It would be so wonderful to be able to draw or play musical instruments. I sadly lack any artistic talent. 

That’s the best bit, working out how the light is falling on the object. It focuses you on actually seeing what you are looking at!
