Good morning everyone, and welcome to August 2026!
The chit chat thread is a space to talk about your day. From the weather, to appointments, to food. Anything that happens in your day to day life. A good space to check in with one another.
So good morning everyone, how’s your day?
Hi
Angie Glad your operation went ahead as planned. Hope you recovering well at home and cuddling up with Lily. Is your daughter home with you?
Craig and I went to a new Chinese restaurant in London and it was really nice, very good dim sum selection. I went to see the endocrinologist at the hospital and bumped into the consultant surgeon at the reception. He probably now thinks I am stalking him .
The good news is I am not diabetic right now despite needed insulin after my operation whilst on TPN. The endocrinologist said he never seen a patient recover from that like I did. So no med for me!
How is everyone doing? Are you back home Stacy?
Weather is much more pleasant here, hope everyone has a relaxing weekend.
Hello my friends, thank you for being with me over the past months. It has made a big difference to me and has helped me through some rotten moments. Unfortunately, I've come to the end of the road. The cancer has changed in ways that can't be delayed and now I'm going to spend the little time I have left at home, with my husband, with my sister and her family, Sideways and what looks like a pretty good palliative care team. It's been really important to me to have you in my life!
I'm not sure if I'll be well enough to chat with you again so I just wanted to say thank you. My husband will be in touch.
Rose
Rose, Wish you peace and comfort at home with your loved ones. It is really lovely chatting to you over the past months on the forum. Thinking of you xx
Rose I am so sorry to hear what you are facing. I hope the time ahead is filled with as much comfort, peace and love as possible. Thinking of you, your husband and your family. Xx
Oh Rose, I'm sure the palliative team will give you the competent support and care you need during this difficult time. Being home with your family will provide the comfort and love you deserve. Even if you are not able to actively participate any more rest assured that we will all be keeping you in our thoughts.
Patrick xx

My heart is breaking Rose. I know I didn't know you as well as others on here, but you made a positive impact in my life, and can't thank you enough for the kindness you have shown to me. I wish you comfort and peace with your family, and will be keeping you and your family in my thoughts.
