Good Morning Rose,
yes we do have Sea Pinks here too. They are ever so pretty. Got my appointment for the plastic surgery, it’s on the 30th July, hooray for that. One less item to worry about.
When I went to my car yesterday I was confronted with a totally flat back tyre. You can imagine my surprise when I discovered that the car does not carry a spare tyre. Apparently they are not standard for a lot of cars anymore. Had to get the RAC out to repair it so I can get it sorted properly today. Pesky screw had got into the tyre and wrecked it. I am so glad that Motability sorted it out very quick. I have been driving for nearly 50 years and this was only my 2nd flat. Not too bad a record when all is said and done. I hope Sideways is going to have a chilled day today. I feel sorry for the animals where it’s so warm at present. Is it as hot where you are as it is in England? We should get about 18 to 19 degrees here today. Don’t think I could cope with the temps down South. Oh well, another day to negotiate as best as we can.
Wishing everyone as nice a day as possible and hope you manage to cope with the heat. Love and a big hug from

Hi Angie. I hope you manage to get the car sorted. What a nuisance. It is currently 26 degrees here at the moment, that’s a couple of degrees cooler than this time yesterday! I have been doing very little, with no shade in the garden all day long, I’ve been spending all day shut inside with curtains closed trying to keep Alfie cool! I have cold mats on a rota from fridge to sofa for him. Lots of ice cubes, and very early / late walks. But also of course the pollen is at its highest as is the pollution levels, which always affects my breathing, so it’s not fun! The good news is there is rain next week ! Yay !!
Hiya Chelle and Alfie of course.
Got the car sorted this morning. New tyre on and all ok once again. It was a lovely day here today, with around 22 degrees and a light breeze going. Great day to get the washing dried. Cooling down now, just like last night, which will make sleeping so much easier. It’s very quiet getting on the thread at the moment. Hope everyone is doing ok and enjoying the weather while it lasts. Stella must be back from her cruise in a few days.
Time appears to be flying at the moment. Nearly June already and my starting gun for Christmas shopping to begin I know it is a tad early for most folk but I always have it all wrapped up by middle to end of October. Have a nice evening and a hug to everyone. Love

Hello Angie and All,
It's wonderful that you've got a date for the surgery, Angie. I feel anything stressful is a little less so when you at least have a date.
It's been so very hot all this week in Ireland too, especially here in the West. Like Chelle, I had to stay indoors until the evening. And I just had no energy.
As for Sideways, she ensconced herself in my chair and slept there all day every day, then thought we should play with her at night.
I've had a bundle of medical appointments and, everywhere I go, the talk is of our houses (and ourselves) not being designed for 30 degrees, and what tricks people are using to try to bring indoor temperatures down. Before the spectacular thunder shower last evening, the bedroom thermostat read 27.5 On the plus side, every day was a "grand day for the drying". Weather is getting back to normal over this bank holiday weekend.
Bad luck with the tyre, but great you got someone to sort it for you. I had my annual service today and happily everything is fine with the car. One funny detail: from the start I had reported it had trouble recognising speed limits and the latest explanation is that it's a satellite issue that affects any make of car that happens to use this technology...
Have fun with your Christmas shopping!
Greetings to Winston and Lilly
Here's hoping everyone who is still experiencing extreme heat is coping with it.

Rose and Sideways
Hi everyone
I have arrived back today. I had a lovely time but did not have any hot weather in Norway. The roses are doing really well must be enjoying the sun.
I have got CT scan on Monday and lung ablation Friday next week. Hopefully it will go ahead as planned.

How is everyone doing? How are you doing Stacy? How are our four legged friends? Did they enjoy the heat?
