Hi everyone
Here's your new chat thread for April.
We're happy to start this for you, but anyone is welcome to start the thread if you get to it before we do

Go, Winston! (says the real Sideways, pictured here, entranced by the movie, Madagascar).
And Go, Stella! say I. You surely have the right attitude and I love reading about the nice things you add to the "must do's".
Have to say I hadn't expected so many felines here and it's a delight. Still trying to work out who is whose guardian
Hi Chelle
I didn't know that there were hovercrafts still in operation on the south coast. Many years ago when Mrs Tvman and I were visiting family in London we went on a hovercraft from Dover to Calais but are those hovercrafts still running or have the car ferries taken the business?

Hi Sideways, your kitty is so cute. Her fur is so shiny! I am actually quite frustrated since my operation in January as have at least 3 medical appointments a week. At least will able to go on my cruise unaffected by cancer in May. Have you got any holiday plans?
In all honesty tvman I wouldn’t know as I’ve never been to Dover, but yes still goes to the Isle of Wight from Portsmouth.
Hi Stella,
The cruise sounds heavenly!
My husband and I have been offered a friend's house in the Canaries so heading there shortly ... if steroids can keep the arthritis-like side effects of immunotherapy at bay
Hi Stella, I have a little confession about alcohol. I had a glass of wine last Christmas and the Christmas before that. I also bought a couple of little bottles of wine for last St Valentine's Day because I was going to cook lamb. Unfortunately Mrs Tvman had bowel trouble on the day so I didn't get to cook the half leg of lamb. However, I cooked it at Easter along with a large gammon when the whole family were with us.
We had the wine another day after everyone left but it's been so long since we had any alcohol that I forgot Mrs Tvman doesn't like red wine, it gives her little tremors!
Tvman x

As far as I know the Southsea / Ryde hovercraft is the only one in the country. They were replaced a few years ago so hopefully good for a while
