Hi everyone
Here's your new chat thread for April.
We're happy to start this for you, but anyone is welcome to start the thread if you get to it before we do
it just popped into my head after I had to chase big bully cat next door earlier once again. Much appreciated xx love
Ellie would have loved it. She loved a poem. Xx
It sounds like you had an awful time at hospital yesterday Stella2020
hope this 3rd and final hospital trip goes well, you deserve the night away after this week! I’m sure Winston will be fine, but I know you will worry about him. Xx
I am sorry to hear about the painful visit. Good luck with the third visit and enjoy your meal Stella. Hope King Winston behaves.

Hi Stella,
I truly hope your upcoming appointments go well this week, and have a lovely time at the Korean restaurant. I can understand your stress and frustration with the new radiographer, I get that people have to start somewhere with their careers, but at the same time you want the best care possible. You'd hope that they were accompanied by someone more experienced to help guide them if they weren't sure on how to deal with the stoma. Everything with my care is a first for everyone here, other than the one surgeon and others that came from out of state for my surgery, so I get that I'm part of a learning experience, but it's hard for me to deal with. Somedays I'm more open to it than others, it just depends on my mood...
I absolutely love your poem Angie, the next time I talk with Macy, I'll be sure to read that to her. She'll love hearing her name, and knowing she's part of the poem. Thank you so much for expanding the royal saga on here, it definitely makes me smile!
As of yesterday morning, I no longer have a wound vac, and two of my other drains were removed as well, so now I just need some more time for those areas to heal. My sleep has been so awful, my mom is still asleep, it's almost 4:45 am and I've been awake for a while. This pattern with me is so hard to adjust to.
I hope everyone has a lovely weekend.
~Stacy
Sorry Stella, I haven't been on the site much lately but I've just read about your wonderful news, a chance of a cure is fantastic. I think Patrick was saying about celebrating with mocktails and suggesting something stronger. For me it would be a good cup of hot tea these days, alcohol has been forbidden because of my liver problems.
Tvman xx

It has been a beautiful day in the south coast today. Sat and watched lots of boats coming and going. You can just about see the hover craft coming in from the Isle of Wight. We could definitely hear it! It is very loud.
Good afternoon,
Patrick and Mr TVman, I had a glass of red wine that night with the steak salads. I however discovered buckwheat tea at the Korean restaurant last night. It is nutty/ slightly sweet and really nice. Like a tea version of beer? I have since ordered some from the same supplier as the restaurant. It does not have any caffeine so would be ideal for after dinner .
Stacy Glad to hear there is steady progress being made. I found pain seemed to be worse at night when there is no distractions and normally request some additional dose. My previous hospital is a major teaching hospital (Cambridge university) so I had all sorts of mishaps from brand new doctors. One stabbed himself after given me an injection so I have to have blood tests for HIV etc for him. Another young doctor started touching her hair/ glasses whiles doing a sterile procedure (if I did that as a dentist, my nurse would hit my hand with a glove!) One young radiographer failed to insert the PICC line 3 times and end up crying. I was not expecting Cleveland has inexperienced staff as they are supposed to be the top one in London.
Chelle sea front looks amazing !
I was in London to see the lung ablation doctor. He was very talkative! The good news is he thinks this is nothing to worry about. I could go on my cruise holiday in May first then I have the ablation in June. He can deal with much bigger lesion or more numerous ones. As long as there are not too many on the day (have to have chemo first) I would be fine. The slight bad news is my lung function is not ideal due to my cat allergy induced asthma. He is referring me to see a chest physician for that.
Winston has survived staying a whole 24 hours on his own. No peeing accident so far.
How is Lilly? How are you doing Susan13? Are you keeping well Lee2?
Have a nice weekend x
