As ever, in memory of Ellie. Everyone is welcome to chit chat, share experiences or recipes, whatever you need
Hiya Chelle and Alfie. Isn’t it amazing the joy and love we get from our pets. Lilly, or as Eddie calls her ‘Her Highness’, has been a constant source of fun and downright delight for nearly 13 years to me. It’s truly remarkable how a furry companion can be such an important part of one’s life. Take a hint from Alfie and have a wee nap yourself if you are able too. Big hug to all from

Hi
I hope more tulips and daffodils will come through. I am not sure why I bother plant them in the autumn as less than half come through each year.
Had lovely lunch with a couple of friends. On my way to the loo, bumped into a formal colleague and he has opened up a new swanky dental practice near where I live and offered me a part time position. It is very nice but I think I will go on holidays and have a rest this year. Maybe next year if I am not back on chemo.
Another trip to the London hospital tomorrow. I think we are going to try a New Mexican restaurant afterwards. There is never a shortage of new places to eat in London.

Good luck for tomorrow Stella. Hope you enjoy your lunch or dinner at the new place with Craig. I am having a quiet, cosy day st home. Weather not going to be great and still feeling fatigued. Cuddles with Lilly and a rest sounds very appealing to me xxx love to you all from

How are you doing Lee? Hasn’t the weather changed for the worst again. Weekend is not looking very promising at all. I got all my bits and bobs in and shall batten down the hatches for a few days. The winds are getting up once again and Lilly is not amused, she hates it. Hope you are not going to be affected too much, which goes for every one of course. Not a weekend for planning a picnic . Enjoy the rest of the day and have a cosy evening. Love from

Hi
Susan13 Faith looks adorable. Winston like to lie against me rather on me which is good as he is around 6kg in weight!
Alana01 Very windy here too, keep safe and rest up.
Leelaloo how are you managing? How are your dogs?
How is everyone doing?
I had my consultation, the thoracic surgeon said not to wait, best to have a biopsy first then ablation/ SBRT later once the pathology report is out. So at least know what the next step is now. Went for a nice Japanese lunch afterwards, now back home cosying up to Winston xx
I'm glad you have some concrete next steps from your appointment. It always feel better to have a plan.
I meet with my oncologist tomorrow morning (almost evening for you). I hope to get a few answers at last. I need to ask if I can regain the ability to eat normally or if the IV nutrition will be with me forever. I hope I have the courage.
No one warns you how much courage it takes to face these things! Time to curl up with my cat a bit. Lol
Hi Angie and Lilly, your daughter ordered oil 2 weeks ago and still no delivery? I've ordered oil recently and if the company that I deal with can't deliver within 2 days then they're apologising profusely. In Northern Ireland about ⅔ of households use heating oil and when Sir Keir Starmer was in the country yesterday he was saying that oil delivery companies must stop any profiteering. The price you pay must be the price you've been quoted when you order the oil.
I've dealt with the same oil company since 1985 and I can't complain about the service, nor their price. A couple of years after I was diagnosed I spoke to one of the management team about getting a discount and since then I've received a decent discount. When ordering, I need to ensure that I'm not in a hurry to go anywhere for the next 5 or 10 minutes because they want to know how I am etc. Very friendly and helpful staff.
