Hi folks

I just thought I would set you up a new thread for February - in fond memory of Ellie Green heart

I'll close the January thread so you can continue chatting here.

Please do feel free to set up your own thread, but we can always do it if you prefer Slight smile

  • Seems like we are all dealing with the mud

my dogs are older but small rough coated terriers so even a little trot up the lane and they come back covered in mud Joy

can you tell I’m doing a bit of housework then sit down for a bit on my phone

it’s so frustrating it’s lunch time and I haven’t finished the jobs I would normally have done by 8/9am in the mornings

  • Hi

Welcome to the chat Claire. I also take the fruit cubes as Lee for constipation. It is quite gentle and effective.
I have one indoor cat so no messy paws in the winter. I take him for a walk when it is sunny but he doesn’t go far.
Bought myself some flowers to cheer things up.
Going to London tomorrow to see the plastic and bowel consultants for follow up. The plastic surgeon is really nice and came in especially to see me so I don’t have to go to London twice.

  • That looks gorgeous

    good luck tomorrow

  • Lovely flowers Stella Heart

I’m here in the background at the moment but following everyone’s posts

Some incredibly brave new people here

January/February are hard months but the days are starting to lengthen and double digits are forecast for the weekend- yay

    Love to all xxx

  • Good evening Claire, a very warm welcome from myself to you for joining our little group. I do hope you will find this thread will give you laughs and banter, helpful hints and tips and of course the warmth and strength of support we give each other.

    • Hope all of you are doing ok at present on this crazy Cancer Roller Coaster. Starting to feel a bit more like myself but still fatigued. Oh well just have to be cosy with Lilly and watch the Olympics for the next few days GrinningGrinningGrinningGrinningGrinningGrinningThumbsup . Sending a big germ free hug and all my love to you all.

Lilly is sending her love to Winston and hopes he is not too cross about the horrid weather. Can’t say that Lilly is a happy little furry companion at present. First snow and freezing cold and now rain and wind.

    xx Angie and Lilly xx

  • Thank you I’m already enjoying the new friendships

    xxxx

  • A warm welcome from me too Claire. Don't worry about taking too long to do things, it's one of the privileges we can enjoy without having to feel guilty lol. Good luck with your appointment Stella. Have a good day everyone.

    Patrick xx

  • Thank you Patrick

I struggle with the frustration of taking so long doing things

I want to get on with my day

may be I’ll come to terms with that as time goes on

  • Beautiful flowers Stella , good luck with your appointment today.  Patrick is right we do have a good reason to take longer with tasks.  I have got quite used to have a lie in every morning.  Used to get up at 4.30am every morning when my husband used to have to go into the office as it was quite a drive and then I had to take the dogs out and then go to work.  The dogs like being with a lady of leisure as we all snuggle up in the bed in the morning Joy.  My niece and her two little ones are coming this weekend we are going to Bewdley the station for the steam train looks just like the one out of Harry Potter (hope it doesn't rain:.  Enjoy your festival Stacy.  Glad you are feeling a bit better Angie hope Lilly starts feeling happier with the warmer weather coming.  Is Alfie one yet Chelle?

  • I hope your appointment went well today Stella! I love your flowers as always, sometimes they really are the best medicine to help cheer us up!

Welcome to the forum Claire, the love and support you'll find here is truly amazing. I can relate to the frustration you feel when doing little jobs around the house takes so long to complete, but I promise you'll get used to it and even find easier ways of doing things to help. Take as many phone breaks as needed, slow and steady might not win the race, but it'll get you across the finish line.

Lee, I hope you have a great time and good weather at the train station this weekend. That sounds like a lot of fun, but I'm a bit biassed since I love all things that have a Harry Potter vibe to them. Our concert was last night, we had such a memorable time together. I was pretty tired when we got home, and my upcoming surgery anxiety is through the roof, but last night was amazing as we were all singing along with the lyrics.
