Hi
Sunny day for a change. View from my room.
back of the Buckingham palace garden and London landmarks.
Hi Lily
How are you coping with the cold and snow?
as you know, I’m living with my grandma and my cousin Han Han. Yesterday, me and my cousin had a wonderful night. We sneaked in my grandma’s small spare room which she used for her clothes. we dragged all her clothes out spread it all over the place, knocked the chair and table down too. but unfortunately we managed to lock ourselves in because of this. we have to pee on her new jacket, but grandma said it is her fault so she is not angry with us.
forever yours Winston
Hi Patrick, I was able to swallow again after my radiotherapy and chemo which is great but it left some cancer in the lining. At first they thought it could just be damage from the radiotherapy but the next scan showed the tumour growing again and spreading to lymph nodes either side.
I am still able to eat a normal diet but lately find I do have to chew the food smaller. I am on the milkshakes as my stomach has shrunk and have poor appetite.
As the tumour grows I will have problems swallowing again, but it is too high for a stent, so I will have to rely on the milkshakes then when I can't tolerate fluids I will be admitted for a nasogastric tube and iv fluids to rehydrate me before they insert a tube directly into my stomach or bowel.
I do like to spoil my son when I can, he is a good bloke and spoils me often, and nothing is too much trouble for him
I am glad you can swallow well, but if you notice any changes no matter how small let your team know. There may still be treatments they can give you.

Oh Winston, you do make me purr with delight at the things you get up to. Han Han sounds just as full of mischief as you are. I have been very good, apart from serious huffing now and then because of all the snow we did have. No way was I going to put a paw out of the house. My pet has been very tired, so we have had loads of cosy naps and cuddles. Hopefully your pet will be read to get home soon and you will be able to keep them entertained at your own place. All my love to you Winston

Hi Stella, so good to hear from you. What a long operation but that's behind you now thank goodness. Now begins the recovery that'll be quite slow, you don't want to rush things, you'll get there in time.
Wow, you must be really weak to need so many people to help you to get out of bed. Wish I could help in some way, if I had a magic wand I'd use it to help you and Stacy and all our friends in our group.
My little new born granddaughter unfortunately had to be taken to hospital on her 4th day because she wasn't feeding well enough and she was also given antibiotics to clear an infection. She's still in hospital but getting home either today or tomorrow.
Her mum, my daughter in law had to be rushed into the same hospital 3 days ago due to heavy bleeding. Some placenta parts didn't come away after birth and that was the cause of the heavy bleeding. She's going to get out at the same time as her daughter. Calamity after calamity. We'd love to get over to Glasgow to see them all but we're stuck at home because we have so much building work going on here. Face time between us and our son and daughter in law is all we can manage but at least we can get our sympathies across.
Get well soon Stella and Stacy

Mr Tvman
it must be very scary for your granddaughter and daughter-in-law, but thank goodness they are both stable and going to come home soon.
how is the Home renovation coming along? not the best weather for it as it has been quite cold. but it will all be worth it once it’s all done and looking nice and new.

Good morning TVman and Mrs TVman. I am so sorry to hear that the little one and your daughter in law had to be hospitalised. Hopefully they will be home soon again and start enjoying their new adventure as a family of 3. My Grandmother always said ‘if they don’t make you laugh, they don’t make you cry’. How is your home improvement coming along? Thinking of you all and sending a huge hug

Hi Stella, thanks for your message. Yes, it'll be good to get them back home with our son. A very worrying experience for everyone but the worst seems to be over.
As for the house, the kitchen/dining room walls and ceiling are mostly plastered, floor tiles are removed, ready for the new tiles to go down from tomorrow. Kitchen units should be started next week sometime and that's going to take 2 or 3 days. All wiring is in place but lights and switches have to be installed. The founds for the patio were dug today and it will run level with the sliding doors from the dining area. Cement lorry to arrive tomorrow. Not sure if I had known we were going to be so upset would I have entered into this. Maybe would have been better to update the kitchen just!

Hi Angie and Lilly, thanks for your thoughts, firstly the baby was admitted on her fourth day after birth and that was a real shock. Then when our daughter in law was admitted that was unbelievable that so much ill fortune was happening to our son.
The next paragraph Angie and Lilly is a copy of what I wrote to Stella.
