Hi
I think normally Ellie request this thread to start on the 1st day of the new month. I am not sure how to request it, so just started one myself, hope it is OK.
Angie, I know how you feel with poor blood results, every time I get my bloods done and published in My Care each report is headed "Abnormal".
Tomorrow for us in Northern Ireland and the west of Scotland is going to be very stormy as Storm Bram unleashes its fury for 12 hours.
My hatches are showing signs of wear after all this battening!

Hi
Thank you for your kind messages. The plastic surgeon wanted to have a look and see what has been done before and what is left to use. He was going through possible muscles he could take to fill the giant gap the bowel cancer surgeon going to make in the pelvic, Nice! The treatment plan will be finalised next Monday once I had my EUA. After that I will have virtual consultations to go through everything.
Feeling a bit more energetic today but the weather is still rubbish.
Hope everyone is staying safe esp in Scotland and NI

Hi Stella,
It's truly amazing what surgeons are able to accomplish these days, you just have to put your complete trust in them and pray for the best care possible. Sometimes that's easier said than done, but the surgeons I've had in the past, and for my upcoming surgeries have impressed my family and I both. They have treated me as if I'm a member of their own family, and have went above and beyond in explaining everything to us, and answering the endless questions we've had so far. Keeping you in my thoughts Stella, and hopefully the weather clears up soon so you can buy some new flowers.

I am thinking about you too Stacy. You are having the diversion and formation of two stoma next Monday day? It is a much bigger operation than mine but really hope you will be home well before Christmas.
Since you are in Ohio, are you going to a Cleveland hospital? I am going to the Cleveland hospital in London! It is a very few private hospitals in UK that has ICU facilities. Most private hospitals in UK are for smaller, routine procedures such as repair hernia.

When are you off Chelle? Enjoy the Christmas markets and I hope the weather is kind to you. It's 12 degrees here at 7 p.m. which is not normal or christmasy!

We go on Monday. That is the day of Ellie’s funeral so I hope to be on board to raise a glass at 3.40pm x
Hi Patrick it's 11° here in Northern Ireland, warmer than average. I was out in my garden early afternoon and the strength of the wind was frightening. I've a very large silver birch tree and it was bending almost in 2. If it had come down at least it would've been away from the house.

Thank you Stella! Yes on Monday, but I was hoping they would have been able to get me in there this week to allow more time to recover before Christmas. My sleep isn't great to begin with, but I won't get much sleep at all this weekend. The surgery is just to add the stoma's, which is still invasive, and the removal of everything won't happen until the amputation. Hopefully the post op recovery won't be too bad and I adjust to the new normal enough to enjoy Christmas. Hope for the best, is all I can do. I know it's going to be a bumpier road than I make it sound, but it's my way of trying to be positive.
I'm assuming the hospital you go to is an extension of the Cleveland Clinic? I go to OSU in Columbus, it's similar to the cancer center at the Cleveland Clinic in ground breaking cancer research and care. If we lived further north up near the lake, I probably would have also been a patient with the Cleveland Clinic. The hospital I go to is only 40-45 minutes from home, so it's not too bad of a drive for us.

Good morning Stacy, it's the middle of the night in Ohio?!
Anyway, I shall be thinking of you next week and keeping my fingers crossed that you are home for Christmas.
