Hi
I think normally Ellie request this thread to start on the 1st day of the new month. I am not sure how to request it, so just started one myself, hope it is OK.
Good morning Stacey and Stella. I would like to wish you both the very best for next Monday. You will be in my thought during the next few days. Love and a big hug from
Angie and Lilly xx
Hi Patrick,
Yes I believe it was close to 2am when I replied to Stella, my sleep has been like this for a longtime. Whether it's pelvic pain, phantom pain, lower back pain, or just built up anxiety over these surgeries, it's hard to get any meaningful sleep. I take a lot of cat naps during the day, so my body eventually gets rest. I ended up flipping through video's on TikTok a lot last night, and listening to the wind. We have 40 MPH wind gusts this morning, and this weekend our temps are going to plummet as a severe cold front moves in dropping our temps into the single digits, but with the wind they're calling for we'll be well below zero for a couple of days before they rise again. Our weather can be pretty extreme during the winter. Usually the wind, rain, and distant thunder helps me to sleep, but I just have too many things keeping me awake. Taking melatonin or magnesium doesn't really help me.

Thank you so much Angie, I greatly appreciate your thoughts and well wishes. I truly hope my surgery goes well, and that Stella's surgical team gets a good plan in place for her own surgery in January. Everything moves so fast sometimes, you feel like you're caught up in a whirlwind of emotions and anxiety, but somehow find your strength from family, friends, and other cancer warriors like the amazing members on this forum.

Stacy I hope everything goes well for you on Monday, and you recover in time to enjoy Christmas at home.
Stella hope everything goes well for you on Monday as well! I will be off the site for a few days but will try and log on to see how you got on x
Hi Angie and Lilly
Thank you so much. I had the most strange episode with Winston last night. About 3am, Winston was sleeping against my tummy. He suddenly jumped up, landed on my face, then kicked my face with his back claws and run off! I have got a bloody face with multiple scratches all over my face! It was certainly quite a shock! Not sure what spooked him!
I don’t think I will let him in the bedroom from now on as it was quite scary and he could had scratched my eyes instead.
The sun is out today so went for 2 walks
Hope everyone is managing well x
Oh dear, bad dream? Or you were dreaming and did something to upset him? I hope your appointment goes smoothly on Monday and you can focus on the nice things around Christmas

Hi Chelle,
Thank you for the well wishes, and I also want to thank you for the update on Eddie in your post the other day. I truly hope you have a nice time on your cruise, and will hopefully have good weather.

Hi Stacy
I can’t imagine the thoughts going through you especially at night. I suppose we just have to trust the surgeons to do their job and have some luck on our sides.
Do you have any snow yet?
Stella x
Oh dear Stella I wonder what spooked Winston. I hope your face heals well. Good for you taking 2 walks you will be healthy for your op in January. I am praying all goes well for you on Monday Stacy. It sounds like you will be in good hands. Have a great cruise Chelle. Thank you to Eddie for going to Ellie funeral on Monday.
