Hi everyone,
Just setting up a new chat thread for November. If you would like to catch up on October's chat you can click here. Please note that it's now locked, so you won’t be able to reply to that thread.
The chit chat thread is for: Daily Life chit chat for bloods, scans, appointments, going shopping, cutting grass, reading, watching some thing decent on TV - whatever your day has in store for you. That is daily life!
I used to complain about my chronic fatigue I have had for years but it put me in good stead for my cancer and treatment. So here's some tips..my daily routine
I wake feel hunky dory then after an hour or 2 hours i am scattered.I prop myself up on the sofa with feather pillows, blanket on, ear buds in, eye things on, and relax for approx 30mins, shutting out noise etc and do my breathing 4 deep breaths in, hold four slow breathes out. If I fall asleep then I obviously need it. Don't lie down, make sure ur propped up.
Next it's time to dress for the day. Which can be exhausting for me. But i have a glass of water and I start my days small list of jobs. First I chop veg for my chickens and wash breakfast pots.
Now I sit and rest again with my book
Next job on list then rest etc
If I can I slip a very small walk in I do. Rain or shine, just wrap up well and get some fresh air. Some days I am too fatigued so I don't go out.
And if I am having a bad day I do more prop up relax on sofa techniques.or just sit doubg crafts, or puzzles or whatever.
It's just learning how to recharge between jobs etc.
If I go anywhere I have taught myself to sit quietly, maybe in the car, earplugs in, eyes closed, breathing just for 10 - 15 mins etc...hubby usually with me so he sits and reads his book.
I hope this helps a little in finding a formula that works for you
Love and relaxation to you
Hi Fleabane,
I hope your cold goes away soon, and there's certainly nothing wrong about rocking out in your pajamas all day! I do that so often, just chilling at home is the best medicine! Feel better soon!!

That looks similar to the peaceful brooks that go through the south side of our town. I always pause my handcycle near them or on the bridge above them if the path isn't too busy and just enjoy the sounds of the water trickling by. So relaxing!
