Hi everyone,
Just setting up a new chat thread for November. If you would like to catch up on October's chat you can click here. Please note that it's now locked, so you won’t be able to reply to that thread.
The chit chat thread is for: Daily Life chit chat for bloods, scans, appointments, going shopping, cutting grass, reading, watching some thing decent on TV - whatever your day has in store for you. That is daily life!
Thanks Chelle, we've not picked the best time, but it'll be nice to finally get to our place in Greece for the 1st time.

That will be an incredible journey by train eddiel how long will it take? Are you going on a sleeper train? I watched a YouTube Chanel where a couple got the train to Barcelona to get on a cruise ship there. That took them 2 days with an overnight stop in a hotel. I can’t fly so we have thought about getting the train to Setterfrati in Italy to see family there, but I do worry the journey will be too much for me. X
Wow a train to Greece like Chelle says how long will that take. I worked in Avlaki one summer many moons ago which is a Greek holiday village on the coast outside Athens. I picked grapes, worked in nightclub. I spent my 21st on Mykonos. I am starting voluntary work today in our local hospice charity shop in the village. Only from 1 - 4 but it will be nice to chat to people again. Been a bit lonely since I finished work in June. How is your arm Angie? Hope everyone is well. Big hugs to Ellie x

No appointments for me this week but am just getting over a cold and the news my sister in Somerset had a TIA a couple of days ago which I had never heard of
Good luck to Eddie on his train adventure and Lee with the admirable new job and of course everyone else with treatment and appointments.

Hi Chelle, we're setting off just after 8am, change at London and Paris, and get into Milan around 9pm.. stay in a hotel overnight, and catch the train to Bari for the Patras ferry " we've booked a cabin so we can sleep," arriving Saturday morning, for the 3 hour drive to Avia. Chelle, I'm concerned too, we've recently been to Penzance a couple of times and that took as long as the Paris to Milan train, but taking a pressure relief cushion, lumber support, and getting up regularly made all the difference. I know I'm going to arrive shattered, but we have to go while we can.
PS our oldest family friend who we recently lost to cancer came from Cassini, which is your nearest station, he was my godfather, "not in the mafia sense," it's a small world.
