Thanks Patrick, there are treatment options to consider, none are without heart or general health issues, but I have till the new year to decide, so enough time for a couple of holidays. We all know what's ahead my friend, and we shouldn't give in to it, I hope life is ok in Germany, and if I remember right your good lady will be decorating the tree in the garden, bless you both.

This is my good week of the chemo cycle, so I am going all out today to try out a few new dishes.
For lunch I made salmon, avocado, cucumber salad bowl with chilli and lime dressing. However, I don’t think tummy is liking avocado much! Nor coconut milk agree with me. I think I have not got a middle class tummy. Haha.
For dinner, stir fried spicy lotus roots, soy spinach, beef massaman curry without coconut milk.
What is everyone plan for food this week?

Hi Stella, that sounds delicious you are adventurous in cooking. I am far too impatient. We are having chicken in the bag again tonight. I am starting charity work in the local hospice shop today. Tomorrow it is lasagne as it is pub night and Thursday will be bacon and egg spaghetti. Jon made Philly mince last night which is delicious. You make me realise what plain food we eat.

I tend to eat stronger tasting foods more due to neuropathy of the tongue. I just can’t taste mild stuff and have a general bitter taste all the time which is pretty annoying.
What is Philly mince? Your weekly food sounds very nice too. I try to make a new dish every week just to exercise my mind a bit.
It is very good of you to start on charity work. I really could do with meeting more people and expand my horizons. X
Hi Stella, Philly mince is basically mince, onions, garlic, mushrooms and you cook it all and then put cooked penne pasta in and some garlic cream cheese. It is delicious. I went out for a meal with my old work friends last night and had sirloin steak, it was yummy. I am loving the charity work I get to speak to so many people. Have started two afternoons a week.

Philly mince sounds vey yummy. I am so glad you are enjoying the charity work. I hope once I had my operation and recovered, I could do some too. X
Do you think you will ever go back to work as a dentist after your op Stella?
Lee x
Good question Lee. I was going to give up my GDC registration this year and retire from dentistry as there is no chance of working on chemotherapy.
However the recent development in possible cure has changed my mind. I am going to keep the registration going for another year and see.
If everything works out which is a really big IF then I probably will go back to work in a year or two. Holidays must take precedent

I am so happy for you Stella. I am sure in my heart that your op will be a success and you will be back in dentistry again. Where are you going on your next holiday?

Hi lee
Nothing planned as I was supposed to go to Germany but that was cancelled due to chemo delay. Then the big operation in Jan. I hope able to go somewhere the end of March. What about you? I remembered you want to go to Iceland? X
