Hi everyone,
Just setting up a new chat thread for September. If you would like to catch up on August's chat you can click here. Please note that it's now locked, so you won’t be able to reply to that thread.
The chit chat thread is for: Daily Life chit chat for bloods, scans, appointments, going shopping, cutting grass, reading, watching some thing decent on TV - whatever your day has in store for you. That is daily life!
I went out for dinner with friends in London on Monday and didn’t get home until past mid night. Way past my normal bedtime .
They are moving back to Australia soon and it is sad to think that maybe I shall never see them in person again. Sometimes it feels like everyone is moving on with their lives and I am stuck in my twilight years and I am not even 50. However, at the dinner, they have generously bought in their VERY fancy red wine. it costs them over £500 and they decided to drink it with us instead of taking it back to Australia. I am not a wine expert but it was extremely smooth, had great depth and complexity. I could drink another bottle
Had my chemo yesterday and fingers crossed it would be better than last time.
Angie Glad you are feeling better and hopefully you will be back to your old self again. Lily will keep you good company. Winston has been behaving so far. I am sure he will strike when we are least expected!
Lee really hope you will turn a corner soon. I am sure sunny and warm weather in Portugal will do you world of good.
Hope everyone on treatments/ consultations having a smooth and uneventful time.
Stella x
A good oncology appointment today - everything stable on the scan
Continuing with 3 weekly maintenance treatment but she will not request a scan until early Feb 2026 - yippee! CNS will do a phone consult in November and I can have an earlier scan if I’m concerned
In the meantime life is for living
