Hi Mich56 I am sorry to hear your news. I think the holiday has come just at the right time! I know this will be playing in your mind, but try and have a good time x
Thank you Patrick, I went today to get checked out because my headache just wouldn’t budge and my neck just got more painful as the day went on. Went to Minor Injuries Clinic where after taking my BP & temp, the nurse told me to go straight to A&E at the Royal Infirmary in Glasgow, where no one wants to go. Luckily she called ahead to let them know I was on my way because when we arrived the board in the packed waiting room said “Current Waiting Time 5/6 hours+”!!
I told my husband I wasn’t going to wait, then they called my name! Got checked over had head/neck CT Scan etc, even got a cup of tea! Then they said I had Concussion, Whiplash, inflammation, deep bruising causing muscle spasms at back of neck & shoulders.Given Oramorph & cocodamol to take home and told to rest. Which was exactly what I was doing before being badgered by everyone to get checked. So restful day today after a good sleep I hope if painkillers work!
Love Annette x
Oh my goodness Annette you really must of fallen hard!! Hope the pain killers help, and rest, rest, rest! Sending hugs xx
Gosh the fall sounds very nasty. It is probably safest to have the CT scan to check it out. At least you are able to rest at home now.
I remember my student days when I was observing at Royal infirmary on Friday nights. Not a pretty sight.
Take care xx
