Good morning everyone,
Just setting up a new chat thread for August. If you would like to catch up on July's chat you can click here. Please note that it's now locked, so you won’t be able to reply to that thread.
The chit chat thread is for: Daily Life chit chat for bloods, scans, appointments, going shopping, cutting grass, reading, watching some thing decent on TV - whatever your day has in store for you. That is daily life!
HI Sarah (Salis) Well, I have had trouble signing in for the last few weeks, and when I tried again tonight and it worked, I couldn’t believe it! Then I saw your name and I am pleased all seems good with your family etc!
Patrick, I’d like to know where the Summer weather is! Certainly not here n Scotland it has been raining and very windy on and off for a few days now. Also the last couple of nights have turned cold. Enjoy your good weather while it lasts!
Love Annette x
Hi Chelle, We have had a few nice days but certainly not a heatwave! In fact our son and grandson were at the Scouts International Jamboree. They left early Sat morning and got back at 21.45 on Sun as the Camp had to be evacuated due to a severe storm warning for the Monday. 1,000 Scouts had to sleep in Scout Halls all over Scotland but the ones who lived near Auchingillan got to come home. On Tuesday early they left again. They arrived home last night. The Jamboree is an Annual event in August held in all different countries. This is the first time in its history they have had to evacuate!
I don’t like it too hot, probably because we are just not used to it. I hope it isn’t too uncomfortable for you Chelle!
Love Annette x

Morning everyone!
looks like it's going to be quite warm today.....
I've just got back from my holiday in Northumberland, staying near Craster and Embleton Sands. Beautiful! Was there for my niece's wedding. It was the first time (and probably the only time) that the wedding was celebrated by a very large rounders game on the beach! The bride was still wearing her wedding dress.....
I ended up in Newcastle on saturday, for a conference for people with Addison's disease, which I developed as a side effect of my immunotherapy treatment. It was very useful, and I've now got the name of an endocrine doctor who specialises in it, based in Glasgow. I'm hoping my GP will refer me there.
I'm now back in my usual routines after the break! Off to do some voluntary befriending work today, then going to a cardio appointment tomorrow....more driving!
Hope everyone has the best day they can today, and all appointments go well.
xxxx Kate
