Good morning everyone,
Just setting up a new chat thread for August. If you would like to catch up on July's chat you can click here. Please note that it's now locked, so you won’t be able to reply to that thread.
The chit chat thread is for: Daily Life chit chat for bloods, scans, appointments, going shopping, cutting grass, reading, watching some thing decent on TV - whatever your day has in store for you. That is daily life!
Congratulations Ellie that is wonderful news, enjoy the cuddles x
Good morning everyone. Hope you enjoyed your cuddle yesterday Ellie. I have my back brace. It has four metal rods up the back of it. Not the most comfortable to wear but if it works. I also have to eat less because it pushes my stomach in so maybe I will lose weight (what a bonus) Hope everyone has a good day

Hi Sarah Salis , that's great news ️ and it's so good to see your name again. I had a break of over 2 years because Mrs Tvman was unfortunately diagnosed with cancer and had chemo and radiotherapy for 14 months. She had, and still is having a rough time although thankfully there's no sign of cancer now, tumour has gone and good riddance! The remaining problem is a result of the bowel being interfered with and she has also now got bladder problems.
I'm still having treatment 3 times a week for my bone marrow cancer, I'm expecting a phone call today with the latest results after bloods on Monday. The numbers aren't good, hence the continuous treatment. I don't think I'll ever be clear unless a miracle happens! I'd rather be like this than not being here at all so it's a small price to pay. I'm glad I've got my garden and the vegetables.
Take care Sarah x

Thanks Sarah, much appreciated.
Aw Sarah, she's beautiful ️ Another grandchild to spoil
My elder son and his wife are expecting their first child in early January. They live in Glasgow, my daughter lives just outside Peterborough and she and her husband have a boy, 10 and a girl, 4. My other son has now moved to Dundalk in the Republic of Ireland to a new job and his wife will hopefully join him soon. They don't have any children, yet. I live in Northern Ireland so now we are in 4 different countries!!

I'd forgotten that photos like that aren't allowed, glad you saw it before it was edited out! We are lucky that all 3 of our children are living nearby now, so we see them regularly, our grandson is 2 years old and his sister is 4 months. Our youngest daughter is getting married in October, so all three will be married then. Last weekend our son and his wife celebrated 5 years of married bliss with a big party, as they were unable to have a big reception during Covid.

Hi everyone, very very quiet today. I hope you all have the best possible weekend and are enjoying the great summer weather.
@Salis I popped up here later than you but I'm pleased to hear that one of the 'old' members has surfaced and doing ok.
Patrick xx
